Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen cantaloupe balls
  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 ½ tbsp simple syrup
  • 1 tbsp ouzo
  • 2-4 tbsp water
  • mint, to decorate optional

Instructions

Prepare simple syrup

  • To prepare your simple syrup, combine equal parts water and sugar. Heat until the sugar melts completely, stirring well. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely. Extra simply syrup can be kept in the refrigerator, for future drink preparations.

Prepare cantaloupe frosty with ouzo

  • Pour all ingredients into a blender and mix. Pour into a glass. Decorate with a sprig of mint and a piece of cantaloupe if desired.

Notes

You can also use a rose flavoured simple syrup in this recipe. To do so, either add a few drops of rose water to the simple syrup, or boil the sugar and water together with some pesticide free rose petals.
