Baklava Baked Brie

A baked brie with walnuts, pistachios and honey, wrapped in phyllo pastry, baked and then soaked with flavoured syrup. A perfect Greek meze that has all the amazing flavours of the baklava dessert.

Combine ingredients for the syrup in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 1

Place brie in layers of phyllo. Put cheese on top of phyllo. Cut the phyllo to size. Discard excess phyllo. Brush butter on each layer.

Step 2

Put walnuts, pistachios and honey on top of phyllo. Discard the top layer of the white rind of the brie. Place the top of the brie on top of the nuts and honey.

Step 3

Begin to fold the phyllo so that you wrap the entire brie.

Step 4

Carefully lift your brie, flip it over, and place it on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes.

Step 5

Transfer to a serving plate. Pour your cooled syrup all over your warm baklava brie. Garnish with the remaining nuts.

Step 6

- You can definitely make this baklava baked brie with almonds instead of pistachios or walnuts. - Serve your baklava baked brie on a shallow bowl or a dish with a raised edge.
