Equipment

  • 1 large sauce pot

Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1/3 cup (80 mL) olive oil
  • 1 cup (250 mL) tomato sauce, or tomato juice
  • 7 cups (56 ounces) water
  • 500 grams spaghetti
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • In a large pot, saute the onion in the olive oil for about 5 minutes.
1 medium onion, diced, 1/3 cup (80 mL) olive oil
  • Add the tomato sauce and the water and bring to a boil.
1 cup (250 mL) tomato sauce, or tomato juice, 7 cups (56 ounces) water
  • Add the pasta, the salt, pepper and cinnamon.  Cook, uncovered, over medium heat until the pasta is cooked well and the sauce has thickened (about 10-15 minutes).  The longer it cooks, the thicker it will get.  Don’t forget to stir, to avoid having the pasta sticking to the bottom of the pot.
500 grams spaghetti, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Enjoy!
