Grilled steak (Στέικ)
A super simple way to prepare steak
Servings: 1 serving
- 1 rib eye steak
- 1 tsp dry oregano
- 1/2 tsp Montreal steak spice
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
Prepare your steak by rubbing the dry oregano, Montreal steak spice and ground black pepper on both sides. Allow your steak to rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour or longer.
Bring your steak to room temperature while you are preparing your grill.
Grill steak for 3 minutes per side over medium heat for a medium-rare temperature.
Remove from the heat. Allow your steak to rest for approximately 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
It is difficult to gauge the exact temperature of grills and barbecues, therefore the cooking time is an estimate. You may have to adjust your cooking time to achieve the desired doneness of your steak. Keep in mind that your steak will continue to cook and rise in internal temperature when you remove it from the grill.
If you'd like to get those fancy grill marks on the steaks, rotate the steaks 90 degrees, after a couple of minutes while grilling.
