Like the popular banana bread, this recipe is more a pear cake than bread but no matter what you call it, we think you’ll agree that it is delicious.

In the bowl beat eggs and sugar. In another bowl combine all of your dry ingredients and whisk together until well combined.

Step 1

Combine and mix wet ingredients. Add the dry ingredients to your wet ingredients. Add in the pears and the chocolate chunks.

Step 2

Divide the batter evenly between your two loaf pans. Bake for 55 - 60 minutes.

Step 3

- This pear and chocolate bread freezes well. - This recipe can be halved.  Half all ingredients and use 2 large eggs instead of 3.
