Green Shakshuka

There are several green shakshuka recipes out there, and although we haven’t actually tried them all any of them, we think that our version stands up against the rest.

Cook leeks in pan. add the greens, one at a time. Season.

Step 1

Add the chopped broccoli and the green onion to the pan and cook.

Step 2

Continue to add the greens to the pan, one at a time. Season with salt and pepper and add the lemon zest and lemon juice.

Step 3

Make indentations in the greens and place one egg into each indentation. Pour the water along the entire edge.

Step 4

Cover your pan with a lid. Uncover, remove from heat and carefully add the garnish being mindful not to break the yolks.

Step 5

- Be sure that all greens are washed, chopped and ready to be cooked when you begin. -You will know that your eggs are cooked when the whites are uniformly opaque and the yolks have puffed up a bit.
