Easy Roast Turkey

Life is full of things to ponder. One of the things we spend a lot of time wondering about is why we only make turkey a few times a year.

Pat dry the turkey. Place it in the center of aluminum foil. Gently rub olive oil all over the turkey. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Step 1

Wrap your turkey entirely with the aluminum foil.

Step 2

 Place your wrapped turkey in your roasting pan and place in the lower rack of your preheated oven.

Step 3

Cook the turkey for around 11 minutes per pound. Once cooked remove it from the oven and carefully start opening up the aluminum packaging.

Step 4

Brush the exposed top and sides with pomegranate molasses. Sprinkle with the herbs

Step 5

Return the turkey to the oven for an additional 15 minutes, or just long enough to give it some colour.

Step 6

Remove from the oven and carefully transfer to a cutting board, removing all of the aluminum foil wrapping. Rest for 15 minutes. Carve.

Step 7

- Cooking time depends on the size of your turkey. - The easiest and safest way to know that your turkey is cooked to a safe internal temperature is to invest in a meat thermometer.
